The new HP DesignJet T1700 printers bring a new level of security to large format printing.
Designed for CAD and GIS mapping applications, the 44-inch printers incorporate a number of security features to protect both printers and data from unauthorised or malicious access. These include HP Secure Boot BIOS protection; whitelisting, so that only approved firmware can be installed and run on the device (from mid-2018); and a self-encrypting hard drive that becomes unreadable if removed from the device.
New productivity features include a 500GB hard disk, powerful processing architecture and embedded Adobe PDF Print Engine for handling large, complex files. Colour quality is also improved through a High Density Printhead and HP Bright Office Inks.
